Employment Office License Renewal Request

This service is provided by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority to Individuals and Businesses requesting to renew an employment office license (employment for domestic expatriates and equivalents, employment for expatriate workers and employment for Bahrainis).

   Required Documents

  1. Copy of a valid Identity Card
  2. Bank statement of the employment office for a period of 6 months
  3. Expatriate employment agreement with the labor’s sending country (if applicable)
  4. Copy of the rental agreement, for the premises and accommodation for female domestic employees and their equivalents
  5. Copy of the electricity bill for the business and female household accommodation
  6. Ministry of Health’s approval for the business premises and female domestic employees’ accommodation
  7. Ministry of Labor and Social Development’s approval to employ Bahrainis
  8. A stamped transcript that states the employment contracts, previously issued by the employment office
  9. Exterior and interior photos of the employment office and the female household accommodation
  10. A deposit receipt for the guarantee amount of BD 10,000 ( ten thousand Bahraini Dinar) in the authority’s account
  11. The employment office renewal receipt
  12. Provide the authority, a month prior to the renewal date, with the following:
  • An annual statement, stating the number of expatriates stating the nationality, profession, salary, employer’s name and Identity Card number
  • All fees and expenses incurred by the licensee in relation to facilitating the employment process.

   Important notes

  • Readiness:
  1. The business premises should be established according to the specifications set by the Authority
  2. The license certificate should be displayed in a visible place at the licensee’s premises
  • Exceptions:
The applicant should not hire a minor employee or a person that is not allowed to work according to the Kingdom of Bahrains legislations
  • Others:
  1. The employment office should be under the licensee’s management
  2. The office should be in a separate premises and solely for the approved activities
  3. Applicant should notify the Authority in case of changing or updating any information in the original application
  4. The license will allow the Authority’s employees and inspectors to visit the business office at anytime
