Powers of Attorney Notarization Request
This service is provided by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf to Individuals requesting to notarize the different types of power of attorneys such as:
- General power of attorney for acts and management.
- General power of attorney for acts and managements related to Inheritance.
- Power of attorney to sell a real estate property.
- Power of attorney to incorporate a company.
- Power of attorney for lawsuits.
- Power of attorney to manage a shop.

General Power of Attorney for Acts and Managements related to Inheritance
Obligatory legitimacy
Power of Attorney to sell a real estate property
- Title deed
- (For real estate property sale power of attorneys, the number of powers of attorney may not exceed two)
Power of Attorney to incorporate a company
Identity Card
Power of Attorney to manage a shop
Original and a copy of the commercial registration
Important notes
- Readiness:
- Documents should be notarized in the Arabic language
- Individuals who are not fluent in Arabic have to use a translator
- Exceptions:
The official power of attorney for lawsuits will be for the lawyers and relatives up to the fourth degree only
- Others:
- Minors should be represented by their guardian or by a representative from the Minors Directorate
- Events of termination of a power of attorney:
- Completion of the act subject of appointment by the power of attorney
- Impossibility of completion of the act subject of appointment
- Expiration of the specified period of the power of attorney
- Death of the principle or the attorney
- Loss of legal competence of the principle or the attorney
- Cancellation of the power of attorney by the principle
- Attorney’s resignation of the appointment
