This service is provided by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to Businesses and Governmental Entities requesting to obtain an initial approval for bridges structure proposals.

   Required Documents

  1. An Official letter addressed to the Director of Road Projects and Maintenance (RPMD)
  2. Bridge structure proposals including:
    • Bridge concept
    • Bridge design duly taking into account all the applicable dead loads, live loads including BDF abnormal loads
    • Overall geometry of the bridge
    • Name of architect designer of the bridge and the team.
  3. Approval In Principle (AIP) Document shall be prepared for each Road Structure in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges BD 2/12 and submitted to the Director, RPMD
