Establishing and expanding infrastructure to support industrial and national activity, focusing on the development of ports, factories, and startups, as well as investing in human resources, particularly in relation to industrial development and industrial zones, to enhance the competitiveness of national products.

The achievements of the industrial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain have emerged during the bright years in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, through the establishment and expansion of infrastructure to support industrial and national activities, focusing on the development of ports, factories, startups, and investment in human capital, especially in terms of industrial development, industrial zones, and supporting the competitiveness of national products. The number of registered factories has reached 857 factories this year, with investments amounting to 3.26 billion Bahraini dinars and exports valued at 3.83 billion Bahraini dinars.

In 2009, the Khalifa bin Salman Port was inaugurated, representing a prominent landmark of modern Bahrain's renaissance and a qualitative leap in the development of maritime transport. This was followed by the establishment of the Petroleum Development Company and the creation of Salman Industrial City in the Hidd Industrial Area in 2010. In 2018, the Bahrain Export Center was established, in addition to the discovery of the Bahrain Gulf Field.

In 2019, His Majesty the King, graciously presided over the inauguration ceremony of the sixth smelter expansion project at Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) during the year 2019. This project is one of the longest smelting lines in the world, consisting of 424 smelting cells spanning 1400 meters. It added 540,000 metric tons annually to the company's production capacity, increasing the company's total production capacity to over one and a half million metric tons annually, up from 120,000 metric tons annually in its operational year of 1971. In the same year, the Bahrain LNG Port was inaugurated.

Furthermore, laying the foundation stone for the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) refinery modernization project in 2022 marked a significant historical event, serving as a new beginning for the growth of the oil sector. It embodies the government's approach to enhancing the kingdom's resources through diverse policies and comprehensive strategies to elevate the structure of the national economy and promote it by diversifying its various productive sectors.

The importance of the Bapco refinery modernization project lies in being the largest and most massive industrial project in Bahrain's history, with investments amounting to $4.2 billion. The project aims to increase the refinery's production capacity to 360,000 barrels per day from around 267,000 barrels per day currently. It also highlights the government's commitment to continuing the pace of development despite the challenges facing the global economy.
