Exemption from the Foundation Program and/or Level 1 English Courses

The Department allows newly admitted students to apply for an exemption from the foundation program and/or level 1 English courses through their Student Information System (SIS) account. This service is provided during the period after the student’s admission to the university has been confirmed and while they are finalizing the schedule of registered courses, prior to the start of studies. In this time period, the student can apply for an exemption from the foundation program and/or level 1 English courses, by uploading his or her IELTS or TOEFL certificate to SIS. The English Language Centre inspects the application. The student and the registration officer can check whether it has been approved or rejected. If it is approved, the student will be exempted from the foundation program, and Level 1 courses of the academic program will be registered, as governed by the Regulations of Study and Examinations.

  • The newly accepted student in the introductory program submits the certificate through the screen available in his online account
  • Sent to the Director of the English Language Center, who in turn checks the certificate and answers whether or not it is approved
  • If approved, he is automatically exempted from the introductory program and the registration officer registers the first-level courses of his first academic program by the registration officer
